Creativity in many formsIts funny how if you stop doing something for just long enough its very difficult to get back into the swing of things. That's what I have found with creativity.
For some time there I went without creating much at all. Not long ago now I opened the sketch book after receiving a new set of drawing pens and starting doodling. I found it difficult at first to find inspiration and often found myself getting frustrated with what I had created, tearing the page out and throwing it away.
With persistence and practice the creative juices are flowing once more. Inspiration is easier to find and you actually develop a new perspective of the things around you. I have discovered new creative hobbies and interests. Things such as 'Up-cycling' and potted gardens are some of the new creative activities I have started dabbling in. For those that don't know what 'Up-cycling' is, basically you take something that would normally be thrown away or considered junk and turn it into something useful or functional. Sort of adding value. For example recently I salvaged 4 wooden palettes from work, sanded them back, painted them turquoise and turned what would have normally been thrown into the trash into a bed frame. Its a huge trend at the moment and there are plenty of websites with great ideas and inspiration.
